The Open Enrollment Period to have an ACA (Affordable Care Act) plan with a January 1, 2022 effective date is ONLY November 1, 2021 to December 15, 2021. It is important for you to review your options every year, and update your tax credit.
Please call us if you have a "life change" that may qualify you for enrollment during the year, such as marriage, having a baby, moving here from another state, or losing Oregon Health Plan.
If you would like to call us for an appointmentz to review your plan and tax credits for 2022, we can schedule those appointments in late October for the Open Enrollment Period in November and December. We will be open Saturdays to accommodate your scheduling needs, due to the high volume and short time frame.
There are three levels of coverage to choose from: Gold, Silver and Bronze. We will check your prescriptions and provider networks for a good fit for your needs. The Federal Marketplace Exchange will mail or email notices to you regularly. It is a good thing to collect and save these messages. We can update your household income anytime during the year.
We will use your 2021 estimated income in order to qualify you for tax credits; having information like a recent 1040 tax return, or a recent pay stub can help us make that estimate as accurate as possible. If your income is over 400% of the Federal Poverty Level, then you may purchase a plan "Direct" from the insurance company during the Open Enrollment time-frame.
